I would like to share with you some of my favourite ways to keep mind, body and soul calm, relaxed and refreshed 🙂
Today about: Mind – MEDITATION – “You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day – unless you’re too busy; then you should sit for an hour.” /Zen proverb/
How to meditate? You can make it to be a fun – let find nice YouTube video of nature sounds – forest sounds, birds singing, ocean waves, rain sounds, rainforest sounds, river sounds etc. There is amazing choice of different videos. Those are one of my favourites:
Play the video:) You can sit or lie down with closed eyes and listen the sounds or put this video on TV or computer screen, watch and listen and image yourself to be in this place. I hope you will start to feel more calm and peaceful:)
You can try a SIMPLE MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS
This meditation exercise is an excellent introduction to meditation techniques.
- Sit or lie comfortably.
- Close your eyes.
- Make no effort to control the breath; simply breathe naturally.
- Focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhalation and exhalation. Notice the movement of your body as you breathe. Observe your chest, shoulders, rib cage, and belly. Simply focus your attention on your breath without controlling its pace or intensity. If your mind wanders, return your focus back to your breath.
Maintain this meditation practice for two to three minutes to start, and then try it for longer periods. If relaxation is not the goal of meditation, it is often a result.
